Xango
Our quartet just played at the International Xango Convention last weekend at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. It was the debut of our 2 new violinists, Angie & Chrissy McKell! They did an amazing job, and they are amazing musicians! It was great to play for the top Xango distributors from all over the world. We were asked to play a special piece for the audience, so we played Eine Kleine Nacht and it was a hit!

Beatles Music
We had a request for a wedding reception last year to play a Beatles song so I ordered a whole book of Beatles songs for our quartet! It will be fun to integrate some fun Beatles songs into our repertoire!

The State Capitol
Our Quartet has played in many places throughout the years, but I am going to say that the neatest place we have ever played is the Utah State Capitol! We played for 4 hours for the Merit Medical Christmas Party in the rotunda. Playing 1 note would echo throughout the marble walls and floor, so playing music for 4 hours and hearing it echo was just beautiful! I am so glad we had this opportunity to play in such a beautiful place-I haven't been there since prom!

Windy reception
We play at a beautiful outdoor wedding reception in Bluffdale in June. When I arrived, I was pretty scared about the weather because there were black skies and lots of clouds. It had rained just an hour before the recetion started, and the top to the tent blew off. Fortunatly, it ended up being a perfect night. We played beautiful music for 3 hours and drowned out the busy car sound from Redwood Road. All of the quartet members had a marvelous time playing together and we welcomed Asheley Madsen as a guest member of our quartet!

Welcome to our New Blog!
This is the official site for the Five Star Quartet!
Here is some of our background:
When I was a college student at BYU in 2000, my roommate wanted a professional quartet to play at her weddding reception. I put a quartet together of people I knew through music, we started rehearsing and performed together for the 1st time at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. From that time forward, the Five Star Quartet was officially established. Since then, we have played at numerous weddings, company parties and special occasions. Even though we have had people come and go in our quartet, we have always had wonderful musicians apart of the quartet. Currently, we have Amy Norton and Ashley Bardsley playing the violin, Andrea Fackrell on the Viola and Brittany Garnder on the cello.
We will have a list of all of our music, future events and more information on our quartet!
